I went over a friend's house last night. She was having a birthday party for the son of a family who just moved into town. They all work at NASA Langley.
In the midst of drinking too much at this three year old's birthday party I found this "Origins" pamphlet on my friend's coffee table. I read it from cover to cover, some pages more than once. I kept thinking about the things creationists hate.
This is the conclusion I have drawn. You don't have to be a literal creationist to be a Christian. Furthermore, Christianity has thrived on its ability to change with prevailing attitudes and to adapt to new peoples. If Christians keep pushing an unbending creationist agenda, how will Christianity be served or advanced?
