Famous not so last words.
This little fender bender looks worse than it really is. A 78 year old lady, tooling down Granby, took a sharp turn into the fence surrounding the local bus authority. She came out ok (I think). So, the ironic thing is... those are all Handi-Ride buses on the other side of the fence (hint, hint).
this picture is about 9 months old, but I still enjoy it.

Last night Hampton Roads got a little snow. Not much, just about 2 inches (maybe three to exagerate a bit). To our credit, it did immediately turn into ice. Anything that had a hard surface, roads, cars, rooftops, all coated with ice. At 4:30 AM my mother-in-law heard a car crash in front of her house, she looked outside, but saw nothing. In the morning, this...
If the neighbor's car (now with hanging bumper), had not deflected the on coming car, my in-laws would have had a very unwelcome guest. Now look at the pole, see that horizontal stay? There's a guide wire that drops to the ground about 7 feet out. The hit and run driver managed to squeeze his car between two poles and guide wires in front of two other houses. Looks like the guy made a clean get away, too.

What's a blog without a little kiddie porn. This Article was published by the Associated Press around Sept. 17, 2003. The commies introduced the "bottomless pant" in the late 50's early 60's I guess they are just now realizing it made them look like this kids backside. Actually, I think this kind of sight is rare today anyway.

So it's unseasonably warm around here lately, with weather like
this
who needs enemies. We spent a few hours in the park and chased the pelicans.

I went over a friend's house last night. She was having a birthday party for the son of a family who just moved into town. They all work at
NASA Langley
.
In the midst of drinking too much at this three year old's birthday party I found this "Origins" pamphlet on my friend's coffee table. I read it from cover to cover, some pages more than once. I kept thinking about the
things creationists hate
.
This is the conclusion I have drawn. You don't have to be a literal creationist to be a Christian. Furthermore, Christianity has thrived on its ability to change with prevailing attitudes and to adapt to new peoples. If Christians keep pushing an unbending creationist agenda, how will Christianity be served or advanced?

I don't know but this plate seems to have an erotic theme. Do you think someone is really so stupid that they don't realize the significance... Nah, they know. The state will take it away from them if they someone complains.

Well my first week of the year was better than average weather wise. A taste, I hope, of spring to come. Now we are back to normal, with a light dusting of snow. I got this shot an hour or two after sun up and the snow never got worse than this.
