Turn unit over so you can see the face of the LCD.  Find two thumb tabs on each short edge of the LCD.  Gently push the tabs while teasing the edge of the LCD up.

LCD will flip out.  Gently push both sides of the black edge connector away.  Insert new LCD ribbon and re-seat the connector.  Try turning on the camera now.  If you see a faint picture, everything is OK.  If you see no picture, the LCD is upside down -  disconnect, flip and reconnect.
