The project was built into a dental floss box. It's partly open so you can see the I/O ports.

Internal wiring for the remote switches. It's oh so simple. The worst thing for me was finding a decent project case that was small enough. The floss box could not be better. It completely unfolds for easy access.

Switch uses pink tip wire to connect to Rebel XT. Black box is the old Flash Slave. Now a flash from my point and shoot cam will force the Digital rebel to take a picture.

The Digital Rebel is over exposed. I am in manual mode, but I am just too close. I will need to up the shutter speed and close the aperture more in future shots. The big thing to notice here is the lag. Note the altitude and hand movements.

This is an old infrared remote. It worked with the motor winder on my A1. Any pulsed infrared (say from a TV remote) will make a relay latch and trigger the shutter. Note that the cable does not yet match. I need to adapt it to a 3/32" connector. Since it works almost identically to the slave flash, this should work without a hitch.

I have re-worked my old Canon A-1 motor drive shutter release. It use any old remote (TV, VCR, etc.) that you might have laying around the house. The 4013 is arranged as a one shot to give the camera a long enough pulse that will trip the shutter. In continuous shooting mode, as long as you press the IR remote, the camera will take photos. The bad news is, you'll have a hard time finding a GP1V52.
